What is blow molding

Blow molding is the main method for manufacturing hollow products, and it is also the most commonly used method in plastic product processing besides extrusion, injection molding, and compression molding.
First, the thermoplastic resin is extruded or injection molded to obtain a semi-molten tubular parison, which is then heated to a softened state and placed into molds of various shapes.
After the mold is closed, compressed air is injected into the parison, and with the help of gas pressure, the rubber-like parison enclosed in the mold cavity expands so that it clings to the inner wall of the mold cavity to form a hollow product.
Continuous extrusion blow molding refers to the continuous extrusion of tube blanks through a blow molding machine. When the tube blank reaches the set length, the mold is closed, the tube blank is cut off, and the mold moves to the next station for inflation, cooling, and demoulding. mold.
